To reach the top of Cameron Highland in Pahang is usually via Perak, right? Coming from North will begin the hiking at Simpang Pulai while the Southern part hikers will take the route from Tapah (used to be the only way up those days, I think so). Coming from East, yes there is another route from Gua Musang. You will meet up at a junction with those coming via Simpang Pulai then turn left/right to reach Kg Raja.
Well, guess what..we tried coming back to KL using this route, Ringlet-Kuala Lipis..anybody used to this route..please please please reaise your hand :)
The road is very much pleasant than any of those other routes..becasue it has NO sharp turning, corners, zig zags etc..the road is just nicely going down along tall trees and looking down far are the mountains and cliffs, with long steady corners..basically you can do readings while in the car without feeling a thing! Of course not while you are driving ;) The road surface is also new and smooth.
But..there are very few travellers along the road, it's almost like you are alone..then when a car passes you..it speeds up ahead and vanishes..as if :) Hmm bit scary huhh? Yes you may find villages of Orang Asli (Well-Planned) but no stalls selling Petai or Forest Honey, please use Tapah or Simpang Pulai route..there'll be many!
The scenery however is breathtaking..it feels like passing through a hanging bridge over mountain cliffs;
Woaaalaaa...very nice isn't it?
But...
Hmm..it actually is a looong winding road..you will also encounter locations of 'LORI BALAK' towards the end..passing POS Betau...it took 70 minutes to reach Sg Koyan..and this time is a not so wide street towards Raub, with lorries to take over..huhu..missing the so called PLUS Highway after 50 minutes of Tanah Rata-Tapah route.
From Raub, you will need another half an hour to reach Bentong, then you will get on the highway, Karak Highway straight to KL within another half an hour.
Here are the ranking based on priorities;
IF you AIM for DISTANCE LOGIC;
to KL-Tapah
to North-Simpang Pulai
to KB/East-Gua Musang
to Pahang-Sg Koyan
IF you AIM for COMFY ;)
1.Sg Koyan
2.Simpang Pulai
3.Gua Musang
4.Tapah
IF you AIM for less TOLL fares
Yes this one is much cheaper! Hmm but perhaps Gua Musang route is the cheapest..no toll huh?
IF you AIM for SAFETY..hmm quite subjective
Looks obvious that Tapah route is more dangerous because the road is narrow and has lots of sharp corners but this actually keeps you AWAKE!
I guess, as long as you dont get bored, sleepy or out of focus, you'll be OK..insya Allah :)

SOME HOPE...
Great to have bunch of kiddos like them who can cook like a pro and make you proud! Also make you never hungry :)
Well, for me, not to have a bunch is not a thing, coz one is already a treasure very much welcomed!
My journey is already into the 4th year, now working out the hurdles of 3rd year.
This year's journey includes an operation done earlier as I was suspected of having Endometriosis.
My case is actually not predictable..cos EVERYthing looks ok on the screen and even on the paper..but then the decision for Lap was actually not a waste..there was an endometriotic cyst found and endo.. poured onto bladders.
However, those has past for quite some time by now. What matters now, after shots of Lucrin, the result on paper is very much better..though..from what seems not even within the range of a typical endo patients. Side effects of Lucrin is slowly walking away..I think so.. :)
Time has ran very quickly since the surgery. But during this window of expecting the AF to return back, it feels like time is too slow, too killing me..I guess when it's time to continue TTC, your adrenaline will lush back with anxiousness and slight of phobics? Ohh please don't..such adrenaline wont help.
Been brwosing and found this;
Hi, everyone! I had a laparoscopy followed by 6 months of Lupron. DH and I had been trying to get pregnant for close to 3 years. I got pregnant my very first cycle off of Lupron!
Yeayy, alhamdulillah..such an inspiration giving me some hope..and I am always hoping from people who shares their successful journey the same thing will happen to me too..insya Allah..
When there's a will, there's a way, when you work the way, you'll eventually get there!

breathtaking scene
I have not written anything in 2011!!! Well, a lot has happened in these past few months...episodic events realting to my health, my close neighbour died unexpectedly..travel and travel to ease my mind,,and oh yes..the arrival of latest nephew..pheww..so much excuse huh?
One of the most unforgettable getaway this month is as seen above..the breathtaking scenery of waterfalls!!!Love it so much..the cool water as I dip into it..greatttt..cooling off all the heat wave from the peaking hot weather these days..what I love the most is to sit in the water with legs on the rocks..feels like floating forever and ever...marvellous..and to rest my back while sitting with cascading water behind me..feels like the best massage ever! Want to know where I went? It's the Chamang Waterfall of Bentong..just 7km off the Bentong town...yes, the water comes from the gigantic hills of Pahang..the spot is quite nice with proper spot for parking, toilet and food/souvenier stalls..not just park by the side of the road. Some goes for fishing too..as for me..it's just time to be BACK TO NATURE! I think this FOC spot for relaxing and family vacation is much much worthy than going for expensive trips to theme parks etc just for unnatural water dip..but of course you can never get to rollercoaster or water slides here haha...I was just a kid when I last dip into a stream, and I can remember clearly how good I felt to picnic by the river ..mmmm so great we decided to go there and from now on, we will be tracking waterfalls all over the country!Give a try!
